First of all i want to say is nixstor cool down, you dont have to use bad words to say anything, even though you spell wrong people can read it right.
The whole name check system itself not working properly, everybody knows it, there are criminals who got clearance and there are innocents stuck for years, so its a chance to make FBI think about their system.
Yeah, tell me the same thing when all of us will wait for 6 or 7 years if they dont fix the system and continue to do security check on us. We know that we are NOT bad people. Its difficult to prove that in existing conditions. People are paranoid about every thing right now.

I agree! I would't invest in India either. I believe awareness about these facts will save atleast few folks from being duped of hard earned money.

I think you missed a chance by not investing in India through 2001 to 2005.Money has doubled tripled and there are buyers who can afford to buy in Tier 1 cities. Those are not the EMPLOYED people but the SELF-EMPLOYED ones.
Study the market carefully and make sound decisions whether India or anywhere but dont make comments based on some analysis.
Also,Investing is an ongoing exercise, whether Real estate,Stocks. you cannot just wake up one day and say I want to invest in Indian real estate. You need to build a portfolio similar to the way you do for Stocks. Start with a some research and a small investment. I am about to switch jobs using EAD. I am worried that if my current employer revokes my 140, CIS may by mistake cancel my pending AOS. I am mentally prepared for this and talk to lawyer to be ready to file MTR in this case. However here is my question.
1. Will this immediately cancel my EAD? if so, I may have to resign.
2. If I continue working while filling for MTR, will it be illegal?
3. How much it costs to go thru' MTR process? How long it takes?
I read on some other website that denying 485 doesn't automatically cancel your EAD. Any inputs?

Well, so far so good for me. As per Zillow estimate, my home value is now 10k more than my purchase price. It depends on where you're buying.
I guess that when the economy starts climbing up and people starts buying houses, interest rate will also climb up to 6%. At 6%, I need to pay $400 more per month.
If you check interest rate trends for the last 50 years, You will notice that during every economic downturn which is every 5-7 years the interest rates do come down. Although this time the down is a bit more due to severe recession, If you notice even in the last downturn around 2002 was in the 5% range. So only buying a house on the basis of low interest rate may not be prudent.

If lets say one year from now your house loses value by 6%, The money you would save by taking a 6% loan on a lower principal will be higher than the lower interest rate on a 6% higher principal you pay now. So My point is the original principal you pay to buy the home should be a more important factor in buying a home than the low interest rate.

My understanding of the 1-485 processing is that there are several things that they do and checking the PD is the last thing they do to issue a GC.
The RD is the order that they follow until they find out if your PD is current. As for moving by RD, I have noticed that movement in NSC for the last 6 months has been really slow. And now, with so many more apps pouring in it can only get slower. But given the fact they are under the microscope right now they might just kick the tires and processing may pick up speed for a few months. This will benefit all the ppl who have been waiting for 485 approvals for 6+ months and their PD's are really (g)old. It might also benefit recent filers in getting EAD/AP sooner. But all of this going to be very political and can swing either way. So I wouldn't bet my money on either side and/or logic :D

We (5 People) work for IBM company, SFO, today we went personally to the congress men and we submit the letter which is provided in this forum and after that we called state senator office and we explained about our problem. We faxed and email the letter to the senator office, staff had taken my contact details and they told me that they will inform the solution in 2days.

Yes. It may help, but EB3 is not the one who is going to get any piece out of it, as EB2 is increasing in huge amount. Even if it is CURRENT for 10 years, thats not going to help anyone below that level as everyone will qualify for EB2 in future, almost all the future candidates will have minimum of 5 years experience.
Well, if one decided to continue the process of waiting, there won't be any career to talk about at the end.
Not possible for all to go to EB2 as most of the companies hesitate to spend huge amount again and same is applicable to the individual too. It may not be worth at the end to spend another 5K on this. Well said, we should then fight with our own friends (because they may not like us to get the Lion's share) before going to DOS and USCIS.
I am waking up from 'abroad' dream. The real dream in front is "Home", without any issue that works for me.
For EB3 i think there are 3 opportunities.. one pastures are turning green near home and India is not a bad place to be at this time ( i have heard salaries of 30-35L being common these days). thats one.. combined with 1 if the employer agrees (assuming they have operations in india), EB3 can be in india for a year and come back on L1A in an executive/managerial position and get into EB1 (few of my friends have done this successfully)...that was 2... and the last one is try to get into EB2 in the US which can be risky as others have pointed out..
so choices is there.. one has to be bold to take the step

I got a home loan last year through SunTrust on EAD without any issues. You would need to provide more documentation such as I-140 approval, I-1488 receipt copies. :)

And what makes all of you think that future applicants will come only from these 4 countries, they could come from Timbuktu fora ll you care and use up their fair share in EB category and you may not have the visas that you hope would be unused visas. Then what?????????
