Whenever i read your Post i feel Good - The Rep that i spoke to USCIS told me that July 2nd filers has minimum wait till Aug 15th :D

I had an email conversation with my lawyer regarding 180 day portability. She said that the count for 180 days should begin with notice date for safe side.
However the count begins with Receipt Date which is a day or 2 off from the actual application receive date (mail received date).
This is what i got from my lawyer.

They open up the gate for all July filer, then closed it and then re-open it again when many protested. So, when someone shared the news that USCIS is not going to accept the july filings, everyone mocked him but that came out to be true.

People started cursing logiclife when he posted about the FAQ4 to be released by friday and it didn't. But it did came after 2-3 days. So someone who shared that info with Core might have just said we are trying our best to come up with FAQ4 and will release it by Friday and core shared that info with everyone. But that doesn't mean that people should take that info as if it doesn't come on Friday, it will be the end of the world and core should loose his credibility. FAQ4 did came after couple of days and all those people who were cursing logiclife were no where to be seen.
If you put up a clause that no-one should share the info, unless you have a word from God, I guess we'll not have more than 2 or 3 threads here.
So guys..bottom line is stop fighting over what someone said or not, concentrate on what you are doing about it.

My company HR received a letter from PBEC questioning the existence of our company. This is another step in the bureaucratic ladder of PBEC. First the 45-day letter to signal the intent to continue the petition, then proof of company. I wonder how PBEC thinks the LCA made it all the way to federal without anybody verifying the employer details. HR manager sent the company charter to PBEC to prove the company exists. I am seeing a lot of folks predicting the EB2 dates. And I believe they are right in doing so since that is their filign category. What I am asking is if there are any prediction regarding EB3-I. The dates are not moving at all which is absolutely frustating.

Every country has negatives, and I think people will highlight or hide India's negatives depending on their intentions to go back (or not).;) It helps in justifying one's decision.
Before we start comparing India & China, take a look at how many Chinese immigrants have either gone back or have decided to go back vs. Indians.
If educated & materially well settled people decide to go back to India and work for the betterment of the country, I dont see why things will not improve.

The fee we pay is very less compare to what we pay to Attorneys. And USCIS cannot drastically increase fees. And we are stuck. That is the reality.
I think we should cut a check of same amount what we pay to attorneys.
It is not the problem of money. If they privatize the USCIS operations, I will show how to get it done much quickly, correctly, with lot of customer interaction.
USCIS wants you to believe what they tell you is the reality. It is not. They cover up their inefficiency with lies. There is way too much bereaucracy. Information does not trickle down from top to the bottom layers quickly, and top layer does not know what kind of operations are happening at bottom layer.
At best, we are feeding their pension plans and cushy retirement benefits.

I am from Tennessee..My labor PD is July 2002(regular), was forwarded to Phylly from atlanta regional after recruitement was done. got 45 day letter in feb of 2005. I haven't heard from them since. anyone in the same boat with similar Priority dates?

Here is the scoop.
from US Congresswoman's office, an immigration specialist spoke to their liaison at the Nebraska Service Center.
Liaison confirmed the following:
1. I-140 approval in September, 2007 (actually 09/04/2009 as I have the hard copy)
2. I-140 revocation in Feb, 2009 ( he has not provided the day of the month, but from LUD I have it strongly pointing to 02/03/2009)
I have not told the Congresswoman's office about the I-140 revocation. Just mentioned that it might have happened as I have left the company.
3. Liaison did confirm that even after the I-140 being withdrawn I am eligible for adjustment thru AC21.
4. Liaison did agree that if the I-140 was revoked within the stipulated time given in AC21, Nebraska�s decision to deny the I-485 may have been in error. (which in my case is true)
Immigration specialist at the Congresswoman's office is going to contact the Director of NSC to review this matter with a supervisor
Unanswered questions:
1. If the Liaison can see that my I-140 is approved on 09/04/2009, why is that the adjudicating officer is responding with a denial on 09/04/2009 and subsequent denial of I-485?
2. Are they both not looking at my information with same interface?
Conclusion:
Atleast in my case it looks deliberate and intentional.

Not really, without a mass enquiry, it is useless. USCIS will simply return my package and then will have NO reference to go by. I was actually pushing quite hard for a Bigger enquiry.

efforts are on for a recapture. but the valid question raised is: how does a recapture help when USCIS can't even process 140,000 a year?
IV was founded right after the failure of a bill in the house in Dec 2005 that was intended to re-capture unused visa numbers (which passed in the Senate BTW, thanks to Sen Specter).
So, I guess my point is that it is not easy even to get the congress to recapture visa numbers....

EAD most likely doesn't get cancelled immediately. Find a post by 'lazycis' on this thread. Even if it gets, which is rare, one can still continue working on EAD. I know this sounds not right, but again search this thread. This is confirmed by few replies and ref links are provided to RG's website.
2. If I continue working while filling for MTR, will it be illegal?
again... look for links to RG's website for this. As per RG, this is considered as something 'beyong applicant's control' i.e. an applicant has nothing illegal, but CIS committed an error, so an applicant can not be punished for CIS error. My personal opinion is, it is always much safer if you have a good experienced immigration attorney on your side.
3. How much it costs to go thru' MTR process? How long it takes?
Most likely 60 - 90 days. Costs can vary, but it is not really really high.

That is the victory due to our admin fixes campaign. Your thousands of letters are working here.
We had received good feedback in our meetings with the administration.
The whole process of making final announcements is just too slow!!
We recently had another meeting to discuss one more admin fix item that has not been addressed yet and was part of our letters. Let us hope some decision comes out soon enough.
Pappu, then why no to plan for another letter campaign, if that is what making things work a little bit.

I am not sure if USCIS will move beyond April 2004 until Jan 2009 due to the holidays and election and as someone said they want to take it easy. Even if they move the dates it does'nt help unless they approve cases with certain process in place.
