You can file for FOIA to get it from USCIS if attorney is not cooperative. When was the labor filed? How much time it took to get approved.Just to get an idea on the timelines USCIS working on labor these days

You should check the EB3 ROW (Rest of the world) date in the visa bulletin which is published every month - Visa Bulletin (http://travel.state.gov/visa/bulletin/bulletin_1360.html)
The July bulletin shows the date as 15th Aug 2003. It's difficult to estimate when it'll get to July 2007 because the movement is not linear.

I am fron the UK and my PD is July 2007. I140 approved Feb 2009. Does anyone have any Idea of the length of the backlog for E3 visas for the UK.

As long as the labor cert. appeal is timely filed you should be able to extend for one more year.

Thanks to IV for making the multi year EAD/AP happen. Since USCIS might or might not announce this, I want to track when people start getting these multi year EAD/APs. Anyone in the IV community got one of these yet?

I am also in the same situation that my company's attorney is not giving me I140 receipt number. They just say that it was filed in first week May but don't have the receipt number yet.

As such, the legislation would keep a half-million Americans out of work. Senate leadership is considering taking up the E-Verify reauthorization bill today before members depart for summer recess, so Senators are negotiating with Menendez in order to reach an accommodation.
Is there any direction from Members on this.

Hi
My PERM job description has requirement for Bachelor degree + 4 years experience. It is clearly specified in the PERM and ads that for every missing year towards 4 year bachelor degree, 1 year of experience would be accepted.
My PERM is approved. In the new I-140 form effective 11/23/2010, for EB3, it clearly asks to select either e) Professional or f) Skilled worker.
My understanding is Professional category can be chosen when the candidate has straight 4 year degree. In my case, I will be meeting the bachelor degree requirement with 3 year degree + 1 year experience. In this case, my belief is Skilled worker category should be chosen. Please let know if my understanding is correct.

Canada gives 50% credit for stay in canada using legal visa, prior to obtaining PR towards citizenship.
Thats great in my book if US implements similar. I already accumulated enough stay.:p But I am only being selfish. :rolleyes:

Opponents of Arizona's SB1070 immigration law scored another victory in the courts yesterday. In the case of Friendly House v. Whiting, the court overruled a motion to dismiss the case challenging the law. The judge noted that "Racial discrimination was a motivating factor for [S.B.] 1070�s enactment" which establishes a legitimate constitutional challenge to the law. While this is only the opening round in the case, it does suggest that the defenders of the law will have a tough time convincing the judge that the law is constitutional. 10-1061-447 -

I am having a hard time to write anything on the back of the photes as required. I know a softer pencil should do. But have to hunt down one in this computer age. Any other tricks? Thanks.
